Unit caters for:

  • All emergency dialysis.
  • The treatment of acute renal failure.
  • The insertion of dialysis access - for haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis -  (lines, grafts and fistulas).
  • Those on peritoneal dialysis needing a hospital stay.
  • Those on peritoneal dialysis with peritonitis
  • Those needing plasma exchanges.
  • Those on haemodialysis dialysing in satellite units who need a hospital stay.
  • Never closes.

 

The unit is not able to provide holiday dialysis for visitors to Norwich / Norfolk

Brief summary:

This unit caters for all people in our community who are having peritoneal dialysis.  The unit teaches patients how to use the peritoneal dialysis equipment and offers support for these people in the community.

This unit offers regular dialysis for people with ERF (Established Renal Failure). It has 30 dialysis stations and each station is used to dialyse three times a day at:

  • 07:30
  • 12:30
  • 17:30


The unit is open from Monday to Saturday all year. The Unit can occasionally offer holiday dialysis .

Opened in 2006 and has 8 HD (haemodialysis) stations. Dialysing at the same times and days as the Jack Pryor Unit.

This unit can sometimes offer holiday dialysis.

 

Brief summary:

This unit offers regular haemodialysis for people with ERF (Established Renal Failure).  It acts as a satellite unit of  the renal unit at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital and is served by the consultant nephrologists from the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

This Unit can offer holiday dialysis occasionally
