A lot of people on dialysis wish they had known more about it before they had started. Talking to people already on dialysis or to people who have had a renal transplant can be very helpful. Ring the CKD Nurse (01603 288920) to ask to meet a person who has already started treatment. |

DVDs Alternatively take the easy way and watch people talk about their experience of dialysis and transplantation on DVD. There are numerous approved DVDs now. Ask the CKD Nurse (01603 288920) if you are interested in seeing them. |

Your own blood results, own drug lists and more... We know you can lose opportunities to look after yourself properly if you don't have enough of the right information. Now you can access your own blood results, current drug list and more via the internet. All this is done through Renal PatientView which has a secure connection. Knowing your blood results means you can adapt your diet accordingly to keep yourself healthier. You will have the health care team to guide you until you can do this yourself. The Renal PatientView site links to other sites that explain what the blood results and the medications mean, as do other links from this site.
Click
here to email Deborah Proctor
(Norwich Renal Unit Data Manager) and ask to be set up for Renal PatientView.
