United Norwich Kidney Patients Association U.N.K.P.A. Registered Charity 29467/R Affiliated to the National Kidney Fund The only kidney charity run by patients and carers for patients and carers. WE aim to improve the plight of renal patients. When kidneys fail the only hope is treatment with an artificial kidney/dialysis until a suitable transplant is available. Unfortunately there are many patients waiting and some are unsuitable for transplantation; therefore they must remain on dialysis for the rest of their lives. WE aim to help them:

About UNKPA The United Norwich Kidney Patients Association was registered as a charity in 1980, when Norwich had the only renal unit in this area of East Anglia. Membership now includes all renal patients from Norfolk and the Waveney District of Suffolk (not just those on dialysis), families and friends wherever they might live. The UNKPA constitution states: The object of the association shall be to relieve in cases of need people experiencing kidney disease, by providing services or facilities which are calculated to assist such persons.
